Volvo CE has launched its rigid hauler market models to its customers and press members. Participants were offered a chance to test-drive the R100E model in the 95-ton segment. While the company prepares the enter the market with 4 different models, 3 of the models in its new product group -R45D, R60D and R72D- benefits from the know-how of its recently acquired Terex Trucks brand. The R100E model, on the other hand, is completely the result of Volvo's own design and engineering team.
Meets All the Standards of Volvo
Volvo has frequently taken advantage of customer experiences throughout the development of its new product group. The company has carried out its operations in accordance with the data acquired from the machinery used at the South African Trollope Mining Services Company's field. Company's Workshop Manager Danie van Niekerk has stated that compared to its counterparts, Volvo haulers have better acceleration and efficiency when fully loaded.
Volvo CE Senior Vice President of the Marketing and Product Portfolio (MaPP) Thomas Bitter has indicated that the infrastructure of the rigid haulers is based on Terex's 84 years of heritage. Bitter has stated that this has proved significant difference on their new models and said that R100E model meets all the standard of Volvo with its high performance, low fuel consumption, high efficiency, low purchasing cost and high operator comfort.
